Overclocking my 6670 1GB safely.

I have a XFX Radeon HD 6670 1GB and I am using it in my Dell Vostro 220. I believe it has a 300W PSU and 3GB DDR2 RAM. I also believe it has a Duo 2.93 GHz. Can I safely overclock it? I am getting a new computer soon but I want this to hold me for a while.

Not safe do not overclock get a better power supply first.

It's a low power usage GPU and the overclocking only goes up to 800Mhz on the core , and the memory overclocking only goes up to 1000Mhz. Could I try 750Mhz on the core and 800Mhz on the memory? I just want it to help in games.

Yes I understand but as soon as you overclock your system will automatically use more power than normal.I don't trust that power supply did it come with the computer.Will you be overclocking the cpu also?

Its a Dell PSU, I won't be overclocking the CPU, just GPU.

You can overclock but I don't recommend it with a low quality psu.

Not until you upgrade your psu. People often pay little attention to their psu although it won't give higher frame rates its important for reliability and stability when using your computer.

I saw someone fully overclock it stability with a Stock 300w HP PSU.

I wouldn't recommend it but if you feel you must. I'm not saying you can't its just that with a low quality psu a lot can go wrong.
