i have been looking at gaming pc and i found the amd fx-8350 8 core 4.00ghz and the Amd fx-9590 8 core 4.70ghz (5.0ghz turbo) and i would like to know which is better for gaming please don't bring price into this as the fx 9590 is on a spring sale but forget about that. also don't recommend anything else i would like to keep it between those 2.

well, besides the big price and power difference (it's on of the only differentiators, so i had to mention it), the faster clocked one will be better (though water cooling is a must on the 9590). They're the same chip at different clocks...

i know you said dont recommend others, but as Intel processors are more my speciality, for around the same price maybe a bit less you could get an i5 4440, which would use less power and run cooler, plus be ~50% faster in single threaded applications.

Well, if price is no object and you don't want to look at any alternatives, you may as well buy the FX-9590. That said, the difference between the two in gaming terms will be minimal and you probably won't notice much of an improvement.
