HI there,

I am running an i5- 4670k on Asus Z87 Plus with G. Skill Ares DDR3 2133 but CPU-Z says it is only running at 800MHz. Does anyone know how to fix this? I just read somewhere that I have to go into bios or something to change it so that the RAM runs at 2133 but I cannot get into bios.

Thanks

Solution
Go into BIOS, enable XMP and select profile 1 (power on and immediately start tapping the DEL key to get to BIOS, not real real fast, just a steady tapping of the key)

Yes as people mentioned you need to OC that ram to get access to higher frequency. Using XMP should take care of it. Also note your target frequency in CPU-Z is 1066/1067 (dont know how it round if up or down) not 2133 because cpu-z show base frequency which is always half of frequency you expect so dont be alarmed with 800 it's actually 1600 which is base frequency most motherboards use these days without OC.
