So we just subscribe in a ISP postpaid plan,So according to what SMART(the ISP)the connection is for 1 computer only(I didn't listen too much, cause my dad and older bro is the one listening)So my big bro suggest to just get a router to share the connection, but the problem is his and the other computer is faraway to each other, his in the second floor and the other one is in the first floor,I'm worried that his connection will be slow because of the distance and the walls and stuff that may slow his speed, and this worries me because he likes to play online games, means he needs a fast and low ping.

So any alternative ways to share that connection with the two computers without the reduce speed etc.????

You can get a WiFi router to share your connection. It can handle your bandwidth without any problem. Although if both computers are connected to the router at the same time, there will be some speed issues.

Just get a wireless N router.
My DIR-615 (£10) gets 30-40Mb Down and 10Mb up over WiFi through 2 walls.

If you install DD-WRT on it there will be no problem with multiple users thanks to QoS (Quality of Service) control.

In that case you would want a wired router ... Or just use the wired ports on the back of a WiFi router ;)

well I mean will there be a slowdown or is it faster when using an ethernetcable cause I think the ethernet wire that I need will be long one,so is having a long ethernet cable will have effect on the speed/ping??
