I recently upgraded my pc form 32bit to 64bit windows 7 (new windows was installed on a new hard drive) when I tried to boot up my pc it would boot up but all of the colours on the background and task bar look like it was window 98 but really off (Mainly grey, baby blue and a deep blue). when I remove my graphics card from the system and use the on board graphics everything works fine. I have updated my mother board bios and GPU but I am still running into the same problems. Is my card useless?

Specs:
I5 4Ghz (over clocked)
nvidia 8800Gtx
MSI Z77 GD45
8Gb cosair vengence ram

What is your budget range?

Some students are wealthier than others.
