Hi, Up to press I've bought/played/finished Severence: Blade of Darkness, Return to Castle Wolfestein, Far Cry (1), The Witcher, Doom 3 and Call of Duty 2. Based on these kinds of games, what other great games should I be looking for, both old(er) and new?

Edit: Add F.E.A.R. to the list!

Far Cry 2&3
Crysis (all of them)
Call of Duty (pretty much any)
Wolfenstein and Wolfenstein: New Order (when it comes out)
F.E.A.R. (all of them) love the slow mo
Half Life series (including 1 and it's expansions)
Serious Sam (old school shooter style)

That's the ones I can think of off the top of my head.

To add to the lists above:
Deus Ex: Human Revolution is pretty good, Shooter/RPG
Fallout 3/Fallout New Vegas- Open world RPG/shooter

Steam sale should be coming up in the next month or so, you could pick up quite a few of these on sale.

All good adds, can't believe I forgot the BioShock series.

I forgot the venerable S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series.

It's not a shooter, but it's a ton of fun, XCOM: Enemy Unknown / Enemy Within

I feel a moral obligation to throw in Starcraft (with all the expansions). Then again, that might just be my childhood talking.
