Jesus you will be playing movies >.< Why do you need a quad core? I would get a low tdp i3 ... If your that set on a quad core then get an AMD FM2 A10 on an mini ITX board.

Im also not 100% sure on dimensions but you have an ATX power supply. Im not sure it will fit in your case. You should check that out. Better looking at SFX/Micro ATX PSU's.

Again depending on the size of the stock cooler that come with your processor. Check that it fits in your case. This is the main thing with mini ITX builds is size.

8Gb of RAM is also overkill. 4Gb is plenty. If not you are just wasting your money.

Finally depending on your movie size collection maybe get a 3Tb barracuda HDD? They are not much more expensive. Cheaper in terms of $/Gb and...

Hope this helps. Good luck :)

Is this just for watching movies? Because you've picked a case designed for gaming.

If it is just for movies swap the processor for a low voltage i3, something like the i3 4330T would be perfect. An i5 is massive overkill.

Silverstone do some amazing HTPC cases. Example: Silverstone Milo ML03B Slim.

Consider an SSD for the boot drive. the Samsung 840 Evo 120Gb would be a good choice.

Firstly I would tend to go with the Coolermaster 130 case over the 120. The 120 got fairly poor reviews, it's not got good airflow and overheats easily. The 130 is the newer version of the same case and is a much better case.

Any of the Geforce 750, 750Ti, 260X or 270 would be a good choice for a graphics card in an HTPC.

Although Windows 8 has got a lot of bad press, in an HTPC it actually makes a lot of sense. On a big TV 2 or 3 metres away from where you sit the new "Metro" Start Screen of Windows 8 is lovely.
