Hello!

Last question regarding this card I promise! I have in the last 12 months bought a Corsair AX850 PSU certified Gold power supply. This I am lead to believe is based on a Seasonic design and does get good reviews from what I read at the time I bought it!? Can anyone please tell me if the PSU will qualify for this card when overclocked on air? I am running a 3770k OC to 4.5ghz also, if that makes any difference?

Many thanks in advance!

Hi and welcome to the forums!

Your PSU is easily enough for your setup, and easily has the requirements needed to run, you also have a lot of watt headroom, a great quality PSU you have for your build. You can run that card with your CPU OC'd with a 650 Watt good quality PSU

Go ahead and enjoy!

Minimum of 42A on the 12V rail and 600W Total is needed. 850W is not quite enough for 2 of them (need 950W). The AX850 is made by Seasonic.

The PSU recommendations are based on 300W for the syetm less the gpu - which is more than ample for any LGA1155 pc.

Many thanks to you both for your quick response! I was somewhat worried when in one review it mentioned when overclocked it was a bit power hungry! As I have also asked will my case a CM 690 II be able to take the card and thankfully was told that too should not be an issue! Many thanks! I get my card a week on Monday and can't wait!

Again,

Many thanks! It's like having a PC specialist available any time! I really appreciate the support I get whenever I ask a question despite Ho nOOb like it seems! And I only have the money for one of these beasts LOL as at just over £600 GBP including delivery I can't afford a 2nd anyway!? Besides for the moment only gaming at 1920 X 1080! So possibly overkill but in my own opinion just future proofing for another couple of years!
