HELLO. I was using cut and paste to transfer pics from my pc to my phone memory card but accidentally transferred it to my camera sd card in the sd card slot. About halfway through when i realised my error, I cancelled the transfer. However, I noticed that my pics on my camera sd card have been replaced by pics from my pc folder. Is there anyway I can retrieve the pics that were overwritten. They contained my little one's 1st birthday pics that we forgot to backup. Can anyone help please.

When you delete a file/empty Recycle Bin, it does just that, recycles the file, not totally deleting it. It just deletes the shortcuts/'pointers' to that file and makes the files as 'ready to be overwritten' and so the space taken as 'free' to be literally recycled. Once this space which was allocated to those files has been overwritten however, the old files have been overwitten with new data and therefore cannot be recovered.
Lets just hope they are still in the recyclable stage and not overwritten, so these recovery tools may work for you

I was on a 2 day vacation, and I've lost photos from my camera/ SD card. The day2 photos are there but all day 1 photos are missing!! Am not sure when and what happened. Perhaps the day1 photos were accidentally deleted (delete ALL by mistake) and day2 has overwritten it?
