Hi guys. I currently have this setup:

i5 3570K CPU
8GB DDR3 1600MHz RAM
ASUS P8Z77V-LX Motherboard
ATI Radeon HD7870
1050W Corsair PSU.

Whilst this is great and can run MOST games flat out, it does tend to struggle when I play games such as Crysis 3, Battlefield 4 and Tomb Raider on absolutely ultra settings.

What I am looking for is a card that will undoubtedly do this without issue or overclocking and a card that will last a good couple of years also. I WAS looking at the GTX Titan Black however I don't need it's workstation capabilities which drew me towards the GTX 780Ti. I am not really interested in dual card setups as I'd likely need to upgrade my motherboard but I am open to all suggestions.

Cheers.

A Titan Black is definitely overkill for what you want to do. Your motherboard should be fine for a 780 Ti, since it has one PCIE 3.0 x16 port. In fact, there's not any bottleneck in your system at the moment, as the 3570K is still a very capable CPU.

Great, thanks. I wondered if my motherboard would be a weak point and had considered upgrading it but if it isn't necessary I'd rather not spend

What resolution? Because the 780Ti is only necessary if gaming at 1440p or higher. For 1080p the Geforce 770 or Radeon 280X would be fine.

I don't play it, but my understanding is that Battlefield 4 is more CPU than GPU dependant.

I only run 1080p. I want something that will still be going strong in a year or two if I am going to upgrade so I'd want a minimum of the 780 Ti I think. The only other card I have looked at is the HD 7990.

Battlefield 4 isnt a game I play that often - it was used as an example.

I'm more into racers and Project CARS is likely to be the game I play the most when it is released however my other half is into things like Battlefield 4 and GHOSTS.

I would say get the 780 Ti still if you're looking for something that will last you a few years (maybe closer to 3 even) of max-1080p performance. If you're not interested in double-cards, the 7990 will bring with it all the problems you're looking at avoiding, since it's two chips on one board, and definitely a little overkill for 1080p, even by those standards.

Project CARS looks *gorgeous*. Can't wait to see that when it comes out.
