Hello everyone.

I have an ADSL modem ( D-link DSL2500-E ), who has 2 major lights, the DSL light and the ethernet ( lan ) light ..
Now, behind my modem there is a thin cable that is connected from the DSL provider to the DSL input of the modem, and this should correspond to the dsl light. Theres also the RJ-45 ethernet cable that's connected to my computer's network card that should correspond to the LAN light.

But what is really wierd is that whenever i take my RJ-45 cable out ( making the LAN light fade down ), my DSL light stops being stable ( starts to blink ) .
It was never like this before, my DSL light being stable was independent of my ethernet RJ-45 cable being inserted or not ( i guess the ethernet circuit should have nothing to do with the DSL circuit ).
More importantly, after this problem started to happen, while i can connect my modem RJ-45 output to my PC's network card to make the DSL light be stable ( and hence active my internet connection ), whenever i connect it to my router ( where my pc is also connected to, and which always worked fine prior to this problem ) , the DSL won't become stable, it goes back to blinking, and hence i can't activate my internet connection.
The DSL light seems to only become stable when i connect my pc's network card to the RJ-45 modem output ..

Do you guys have any hint what can this be about ? Does it sound more like a problem of the DSL modem or the router ... ? I don't know which one to buy new ! btw, i discarded the problem being my dsl's provider fault, agreed ?
