Hi I am running world of tanks world of warcraft at the moment and will only run while underclocked. When I try to restore to defaults it will not run at all for some weird reason. I am a beginner at this but I managed to set the voltages just right so that the thing would run. I unfortunately restored BIOS settings to default lastnight and now I'm in the ruts. Nothing is running and I can't get it back to the state I had it in. I can run most any game on max or ultra(While underclocked),Please help me with BIOS :( ! here are my specs: ASUStek P5E3 Premium, Cooler master heatsink, Intel core 2 Quad Q9550 (CPU), Western Digital 1TB hard drive WD10EZEX-OOKUWAO, Nvidia Gefore GTX 560 Ti(GPU) and a Rosewill 600w power supply.
I want to get the BIOS to a setting where My computer will be running properly. I don't know much about BIOS setting, I know that I had only decreased by 20%.
I lowered the fsb speed and cpu voltage, also had to change from auto AI to manual and disable/enable Intel Speedstep (can't remember). After I had done this the computer was running amazing, actually better than default. The only thing that was a little different was my windows loading screen, It took a few seconds longer.
My beginning goal was to reduce stress on the power supply because that is what I figure the problem was, a power supply shortage or over heat. I have been told it may be a a couple different possibilities. It may be my cpu and motherboard that have to be Underclocked to prevent game crashing. I shouldn't have changed my setting but now I am lost because I had done this longer than half a year ago and can't remember Exactly what I had changed. If Anyone Know's the BIOS setting I should run to make my PC work for World of Warcraft, World of tanks battle field etc.. Please inform me on what to do, Much appreciated.

Thanks, Ryathor.

Alright, check temps with HWmonitor while gaming or running prime95 for about 10 minutes. Prime95 is used around here as a way to max out a CPU so we can determine if it is overheating. That 2.1 CPU max is speed not voltage right? If its voltage its way way to high and if its speed its low according to intels spec. That chip should be running at 2.8 GHz.

Yes I hit restore to default unfortunately. here are my specs:ASUStek Computer INC. P5E3 Premium
CPU VCORE
Value:1.368V Min-1.368V Max-1.368V
12V 11.877VMin-11.765VMax11.877V
5V 4.608V Min-4.512V Max-4.656V
3.3V 3.104V Min-3.008V Max-3.104V
VIN4 1.192V Min-1.176V Max-1.200V
DRAM 1.224 Min-1.216V Max-1.240V

Just crashing to desktop.

Interesting. Well I notice you are at the limits of that chips voltage so it should be getting enough power. Maybe its overheating? Though that would usually just shutdown the pc or cause a blue screen. But with that voltage I would double check the temps just in case. Does it crash or error during a prime95 test? To be sure it crashes in all of your games right?

Whats the FSB set to, and any other information you might think is important. You also didn't list what ram you had. Oh and whats the chip running at?

It has been just crashing the games and in every game. it blue screened today I'm not sure what prime 95 is, it may be overheating. I had to it optimal settings and I restored to defaults by accident. Fsb is at 400 max is 800. cpu at 1.7 max is 2.1 not sure where to find chip value. the games keep closing or the computer will just blue screen. I had the right values for the BIOS before, and all my games ran fine on ultra settings.
