Right I am in serious need of help because the hard drive in question, has my android app source code on it and without a backup I can't get to it.
Now, the computer and the hard drive was working fine up until it froze after connecting My phone to it, so because it froze I had to manually switch it off but then things went really wrong.
The computer wouldn't start again, so I tried the standard start up repair but that just said it was fixing errors on the actual hard drive but in the end, it didn't do anything.
So then I tried repairing it through my installation disk, by using chkdsk /r
And after around 10+ hours, it had got to %64 and it was repairing dodgy sectors but then bang, the hard drive started making that dreaded sound, so because of that, I didn't want to risk damaging the drive even more so I switched it off.
So because I stupidly switched the computer off, I now have the can't read disk error, so now I have absolutely no way recovor the drive, but that's what I think...
I just need some expert advice before I make a final decision.
