My PC is making the room very hot and dry feeling, the rest of the house is fine and you can notice the change when you walk into the room, I have 1 120mm case fan, a GPU fan and a good CPU cooler, do I need more cooling? What should I do?

More about : making room hot

get an A/C. the fan and cooler are doing it job by getting hot air OUT from the pc.

The house is a double wide, we do have an AC, but the house is long. Watercooling is an expensive alternative, but would that help?

It sounds like you do need more cooling, for the room, rather than the computer.

watercooling still going to push the hot air out, but less hot air, you could try liquid nitrogen cooling

what your pc setup? mining bitcoin?

honestly your case has very poor airflow which causes heat to build up in the case which in turn makes the pc put out hotter air.. you should ideally have 2-3 exhaust and 2-4 intake

if your pc temps are in line it has nothing to do with poor airflow in your case,or how many fans you have.your computer room needs some ventilation, thats all.

i never said his pc was overheating.. he never told us temps however increased airflow WILL lower the temp of the air coming out of the chassis this is a fact.

get a fan and blow the hot end to the other end of the house.

you might want to read up on the law of conservation of energy.increased airflow may or may not make a difference in the computer temps but it wont make on damn bit of difference in the heat of the room.

more airflow volume will just dilute the hot air, but the if the hot air in the room is not going anywhere it will still going to heat up the same.

i agree it won't change the temp of the room only the temp of the air coming out of the pc.. I am very familiar with that law thank. i do agree he needs an open window or an ac to ventilate the room. however the pc has only 1 exhaust with a gpu that most likely dumps the heat inside the chassis. am i the only one that is noticing this? airflow in the chassis is still an issue

There are 2 grated areas on the side and 1 on the top for airflow, I have 1 vent and 1 window in my room, the vent doesn't do too much, and it is hotter outside, but it would remove the dry feeling, should I do that?

where are you in the world?if its hotter outside then opening a window doesnt seem an option.the only time we get really dry air is in the winter when i turn on the gas heat.if you are in a really arid (dry) climate then a humidifier is my suggestion.

There are several factors you are missing. What time of day are we talking about for the hotter temps, is the door kept closed, where does the sun come up, how well is the room insulated. My bedroom is the warmest in the house year round, it gets sun all day on one wall or another, and its furthest from the ac unit. Usual temps are 5-6F higher than the thermostat. Then you add a game and gpu heat, and it gets warmer still. Liquid cooled CPU, so hush on that lol.

Best idea I have is when the pc is not in use, shut it down, leave the door open and turn the fan on.

When it isn't in use I put it to sleep, is that enough? The fan is always on, and I usually do keep my door closed because I have 6 brothers and sisters that are all loud that run around a lot.

Get some 20 inch box fans for your room and turn off the computer when you aren't using it lol. Also opening up the windows will definitely help since you have two windows on opposite walls it will create a good airflow, even though it seems counter-intuitive but the 20 inch box fans will really change things up. Also look into those light colored semi transparent curtains so that it lets light in but it will help reflect the heat. Oh yeah, play some music and get some headphones for privacy time. Take care.

I have 1 window, and I have 1 box fan pointed towards me when it gets uncomfortably hot, and sleeping does almost the same thing, the PC light goes off with it.
