Is the CX750M overkill for this setup?

Hi guys, I am going thinking about upgrading my PC and getting a better GPU.

Currently my specs are:

AMD FX-4100
GIGABYTE 78LMT-USB3 MOBO
KINGSTON 16GB RAM
500W PSU(Unknown Brand)
Radeon 6670 HD 2GB

I am looking to buy a GTX770 and I know for a doubt that I will need a new PSU. I was looking at a CX750M as I want to make room for a CPU upgrade in the future, most likely to an i5 along with a new motherboard. But is the 750w powersupply overkill for the future setup? If so, what would you guys recommend?

Thanks.

The Corsair "CX" line is made with inferior Samxon capacitors that do not like heat and are known for early failure.
A quality 550W PSU would be sufficient. Look for one built by Seasonic (their own, XFX, some Antec, some PC Power & Cooling) or Superflower (Rosewill Capstone, NEW Kingwin).

If you plan on 770 SLI then 750 is what you are going to need, but get a better model than the CX (XFX, SeaSonic, Corsair HX is better). But for your build a good 550 or 600w will suffice.
