Hey guys, I'm having a problem with the ram on my PC. I have 8gbs of gskill ram in my PC for the last week it has either shown the only 4gbs are available or everything fine. Today I took out each individual ram and tested them.
When I ran stick 1 it worked fine but when I took out stick 1 and put in stick 2 in my computer froze without ever getting to os. Once at startup,once at bios, and once when os was loading. The final boot
I tried it got to os login and then cracked out and my display had all lines and froze again. This seems to me like the second stick is faulty. But is their something else that can be causing it?
Also a little side note when I have both sticks in. Task manger says the their is 6gb of unknown ram and when I put 1 stick in it reads 4gbs of unknown ram but still says 4 is available
