What cooler to get?

Intel BX80646I74770K Core i7-4770K Haswell 3.5GHz LGA 1150 84W Quad-Core Desktop Processor.

That is my processor. Getting an Asus motherboard
Will have 16 GBs Ram

What is a good cooler to use? I was looking at :
NZXT Technologies KRAKEN X40 Premium 140MM Ultra Performance Liquid CPU Cooler RL-KRX40-01 Black
but it states it takes 1 - 3 months for shipping. I don't even know if it is worth it.

Just looking for suggestions. I"m ready to start my new machine!

Phanteks PH-TC14PE would be the best air cooler IMO. Close competitors are the Noctua NH-D14 and the Thermalright Silver Arrow SB-E. But I personally think the Phanteks looks the best out of all three. Noctua is the quietest IMO (but you are unlikely to hear any of them running). In terms of cooling, I would say the difference is so small between all three that it is negligible.

Alternatively, you can go for a liquid cooling route. The H100i is $10 above your budget, but it would work nicely. There's also the H80 to consider. CLCs are not as good as true water cooling solution, and they cool to about the same as one of the high-end air coolers that I mentioned above.

Unfortunately, true water cooling will rack up that budget.

Intel Core i7-4770 Quad-Core Desktop Processor 3.4 GHZ LGA 1150

Poster above suggested Phanteks PH-TC14PE. Reading compatibility chart on Phanteks website, it doesn't list the LGA 1150. Only 1155.
Any other suggestions?

Make sure it fits in your case it's huge.

LGA1150 and LGA1155 sockets have the identical holes for installing cpu coolers it's compatible.

I just saw a picture of it . As someone said, it is HUGE. What else is recommended - that's not so big. I'm not overclocking and not a gamer.

I think I will go with this one. I agree with some that color is yukky but who's going to be looking at their processor fan?. Silly to even make it an issue.
