Hey guys,

It's my first time building a PC and I want something mid range budget for 1000$ ish. I've done some research and come with my first build : http://pcpartpicker.com/p/3BLlI

I'd like to lower the cost around 1000$ and to know if I can downgrade some parts since I mostly only play DotA2, BUT i'd also like to run games like BF4 at descent settings too (wich i never could with my laptop who runs dota2 at minimum settings.) I forgot to mention that I'd like to stick with a i5 CPU and not go with AMD with this build.

Thanks alot for the input,
Srab

He could lower it by $10 by going with a Coolermaster HAF912 case.

-CPU/Mobo- Might as well get the most recent generation i5 since they are about the same price.
-Ram- saved a few bucks
-HDD- Changed the caviar black to blue (you already have an SSD for speed)
-GPU- Changed the gtx 770 to a r9 280, not as powerful as the r9 280x or gtx 770 but more powerful than the gtx 760
-Case- Changed to NZXT 210 Elite, not as nice as the corsiar 300r so you could go back to that
-PSU- Changed the Corsair CX to a seasonic, the cx series uses chinese made capacitors, only recommended on super budget builds (under $500).

There's 4 blue led fans , a beautiful white case that is also very efficient in terms of cable management , a blue motherboard , blue ram sticks , a liquid cpu cooler for high overclocks ( the motherboard is good for overclocking too ) . The 750w psu is a bit overkill but it was the cheapest seasonic psu i could of found , but it will be very efficient if you're gonna SLI

Now if you do not care about asthetics and want a good gpu :
