So I'm gonna be purchasing a new 780 and upgrading my PSU, and I want to be sure that my PSU will be able to handle things when I eventually upgrade to a second 780 and SLI. Just gonna list the major things that will be drawing power:

CPU - 3570k
MOBO - MSI Z77 MPOWER
5 System Fans
3 7200RPM Hard Drives
1 SSD
2 (Eventually) PNY XLR8-OC GTX 780

I was looking at getting this nice 850w Platinum ENERMAX but I wanted a second opinion. I've heard so many different opinions on wattage to get some say 850 is enough, others say a minimum of 1000w is recommended, so I'm a tad confused.

850w is enough for 780 SLI i would recommend seasonic, xfx or corsair ax series but that Enermax platimax is still very good cause it is under tier 1

I currently have an XFX 850W Pro Black Edition and it rocks. The hybrid fan mode is a handy feature also. It is completely modular as well.
