So right now my pc case is ugly, but i am going to upgrade to the corsair 350d, and I also have the asus h61m-a/usb3 mobo, and i picked a cheaper case to save money on the build. Anyway, my mobo has 1 four pin header for the cpu, and 1 pin for chassis, and the case has 2 fans what do i do :(?

Thanks man, never new such a cord existed, quick 2 questions, since the connectors are 4 pin, can i control the fan speeds? also, if i keep the same cpu, gpu and ram, can i get a new mobo, (I'm not doing this anytime soon) and use the hdd with windows and all that on the new board?

Yeah, you can use the fan controller that comes with the motherboard to set the fan speeds. If it doesn't have any software it came with, you may be able to download it from their website, or another third party fan controller software.

And yes, you can move all of that stuff over to any LGA 1155 socket motherboard. Make sure you have your Windows install handy, I believe it will want you to input the product key again to verify Windows after changing motherboards.

Cool, thanks for all the help! One FINAL question, and i will stop bugging you! Why does the motherboard the ASUS maximus v gene use a 8 pin plug for the cpu, while my obviously lower end board, use 4 pin power if both board can use the same CPUs?

The CPU is able to pull up to 75w directly from the motherboard, and the 4-pin plug can deliver another 75w of power. Since you're on a locked motherboard and can't overclock, the total of 150w of power available is more than plenty to run whatever CPU you have. A single 4-pin is generally enough to even power modest overclocks on Intel CPUs.

And the questions don't bother me at all :) If they did, I wouldn't be on here lol

Well, most likely the same for me! Also, i found out my corsair cx 500w can power the i7 3700k,but should i just upgrade the psu when i'm already putting everything into the new case, or can my cx 500 handle new gpus?

The CX500 can handle low to mid-range GPUs, but I wouldn't want to try and push it. The CX500 has smaller capacitors that aren't built for higher stress long-term. If you're upgrading, might as well get a new quality power supply. Something that will let you do whatever you want without worry lol

hey bro will this affect voltages of fans
I means will fans will get less power because 1 header is being used by 2
