How to Split a Monitor to make it run a game and to make the TV for Other None Games such as Windows Background
AMD R290X 4GB Video Card.

first of i had a Cable with a HDMI end attached to the Monitor and the other end of it is a VGA end attached to the PC.
and then my AMD R290X Video card's Cable is attached from the TV to the PC. i know i tried i using the Video card's cable to the monitor but it didnt fit!

Why are you using an HDMI to VGA cable? That is not possible. HDMI is digital. VGA is analog. you CANNOT have a cable with one VGA end and one HDMI end and expect it to work.

And r9 290x cards don't even have VGA out puts on them...

Your card has digital outputs. Use those. Extend your desktop onto the TV

You need an HDMI cable and a DVI-to-HDMI cable or adapter. Plug one HDMI and one DVI to the graphics card, and use the other two HDMI ends to connect to the monitor and TV.
This is the only way you can connect them, unless you use a DVI/HDMI to D-Sub cable to connect the monitor.

(I'm assuming you're using a TV with an HDMI port)
