I just got a new cyberpower pc from newegg yesterday and it was working fine yesterday, and today I finally started tweaking the settings. Besides my problem with steam, this is the main problem. When I was messing with audio settings, I was trying to get my audio to come through my headset (turned out it was plugged in wrong) and I was in the amd catalyst config program on the pc. When I selected something for the audio settings and the default speakers, the screen went dark and wouldnt come back up. I have tried restarting it 5 times now. I have popped the windows 8.1 disc that came with the pc into the computer and tried booting up that way. I even told it to fix problems that my be preventing windows 8 from starting up. Now luck. I just goes to the windows 8 icon with the loading circles spinning around, and then the screen just goes dark and thats it. I dont know how to fix this. Im not used to windows 8 let alone a big gaming desktop like this.

Well it would be a little hard to just take it back since it was shipped to me from newegg. I can fix the settings myself im just so unfamiliar with windows 8 I dont know where to start.

And that's why I'm glad I got Windows 7. post how you went with putting all the settings back. You might have to do some reading to work out how to do it.

I'm not sure what would happen with a System Restore. Maybe that's the easiest way. Doesn't do any harm to try it.
