I'm looking to buy a new mouse seeing as I've recently built a new PC.

I'm looking for a mouse with a good DPI range, with a nice 1000Hz.
Not over the price range of £30.

I'm also stuck with the optical and lazer mice. I've done some research but would like some feedback from users to ensure I make the right choice. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Solution
1 - DPI is a comfort thing (I don't even go over 4000 on my 6400 mouse with windows mouse speed set to lowest and acceleration enabled)

2 - 100 mhz polling rate is 10 nano seconds. The faster refreshing monitor on the consumer market has a refresh rate of 1 ms or 1000 ns. 1000 mhz polling rate just sends more interrupt commands to the CPU. A self test I did - rapid moving a 1000 mhz mouse - core 0 got 100%. Rapid movement of 100 mhz mouse - core 0 was at 12%.

3 - Just go out to some stores and grab the mice. If it feels good in your hand - then that is it. It is stupid to buy a mouse that doesn't fit you because someone on the internet said so.

For example I have very wide hands, thats why I got a R.A.T 7 - I made it as long as...

For example I have very wide hands, thats why I got a R.A.T 7 - I made it as long as possible and as wide as possible - it has twice the width of a Deathadder (almost). Sure, the Philips sensor falls asleep and doesn't want to wake up unless replugged, sure it did cost 90 Euro, but it just fit and my hand doesn't hurt anymore after 8 hours of 3D modeling.

I have big hands compared to a average person and the type of mouse I prefer is something in the style of the G500/400 series as my current mouse is a very similar shape/design. Would you recommend me going for the G500/400 series as I wouldn't need to adjust a substantial amount to a new mouse? Plus the reviews I've read online are more than positive.
