I've been having a problem lately.

My HDD Randomly restarts from time to time, usually once or twice a day. This doesnt cause the whole pc to restart completely, but to freeze itself for two minutes or directly to the point that i have to manually restart it.

In other words, i can be normally using my pc browsing the internet or playing games. and i hear a sudden "stopping noise" then an "accelerating noise" and then the pc freezes.

P.s.: Some parts of my pc are 7 years old like the Processor, Power Supply, and the RAM. I would understand if i have to change them and i'm planning to do so.

p.p.s: Sorry for my mistakes english is not my first language.

Thanks in advance

I dont think it will really help but:

Motherboard: ECS GeForce6100PM-M2 AM2+
CPU: AMD Athlon64 x2 4000+ 2.1Ghz
RAM:
-Kingston 1x2GB DDR2-800
-Biostar 1x512mb DDR2-466
HDD:
-WD 2500js 250GB 3Gb/s
-WD 160GB 3Gb/s
Power Source:
ATX 450Watts(I'll change it in a week for a 600Watts one before i start making the new rig)
GPU: Ati HD5450 1gb DDR3 Biostar
SO: Windows 7 Ultimate 64bits

In an update: Today the pc didnt start until i unplugged the 2nd HDD and even though its going ridiculously slow
