Okay, so I have been searching for months to no avail. Everybody here seems to be well informed and very capable searchers. So, I want to know if anybody can find a laptop with the following criteria. (I swear it must not exist)

15" Laptop
touchscreen
FULL HD (1080p)
i7 4700mq (MAYBE a 4500mq)
Discrete graphics card
backlit keyboard
bluetooth
windows 8
<$900 (including any student discounts or retailmenot coupons)

bonus challange:

acceleration cache and/or hybrid drive

Good luck!

P.S. The Lenovo Ideapad Y510p would be PERFECT except that it does not have the touchscreen capability.

Damn! My first though was the Y510 then I saw that and was like well, then xD.

I FRICKIN FOUND IT! Ok, so it is refurbished BUT it has 16 gigs of ram, a touchscreen, backlit keyboard, and a finger print reader. Also, has a 740M so it will do some gaming!

Nice! I'm a little weary about buying from an ebay selling though. And it is only a 90 day warranty. It may be my only option though. I will tell you though, when I saw those Ideapad's I was so excited that I found my dream laptop. But then I realized that it did not have touchscreen and was crushed.

I also just found out that Lenovo is coming out with a new Ideapad Y501p with touchscreen in the next couple weeks. Maybe That is an option too!

I see where your coming from but remember this: They have over 10k reviews, at 99.9%, and those are straight from HP refurbished. I'd say it'd be fantastic for your needs, and I see why your concerned, but I got my computer off lease (basically from a business a little bit cleaned up) from a company similar to this, had it for awhile and it has been great, and the company was helpful with any questions I had. If your really concerned, email them about it. If their truly good, they will answer any questions in an email like the company I ordered from.

Are you sure you need a touchscreen? A. you will have prints all over the screen. B. very very few people actually use the touchscreen on a laptop, they get one, then just use the mouse/keyboard.

If you want to poke your fingers at something, spend less on a non-touchscreen laptop and get a tablet with the difference. You'll find you will be just as happy.
