Hey guys I need some help real quick!

So I leave my house for fove minutes and come back and my computer is off. I tried booting it and it gave me a "honk" sound almost and would instantly shut off.

Somehow within the last 15 minutes I got it to get to the bios, but now it is not detecting either of my seagate hard drives. The screen im getting on the spash screen says something about asus anyisurge protector activating.

So far I've tried switching the SATA ports that the drives are connecting to. Ive disabled asus anti surge. I have my video card out and am just running on the onboard gpu. Ive popped out the CMOS battery and have tried running on each stick of RAM individually.

My thoughts thus far are that its either a faulty mobo (if had the same one for 2 years) or the PSU (also 2 years old). I really dont think bother harddrives would fail simultaneously, although ita a possibility.

Its also woth noting that when I attemptes to boot with my video card in, I was getting nothing on the screen, but its fan was running. Also im still getting the "honking" beep when I boot, aswell as the post beep.

The mobo I have is an asus m4a88t-m, the PSU is the deafult that came in my raidmax similodon.

Im on my phone so sorry for any formatting or spelling issues. Any help is appreciated!

I would guess its a PSU problem. But it is possible to be your MOBO. If you have any spare parts laying around give them a try. Otherwise you might be able to bring it to a computer shop and see if they have parts for you to try without charging you a ton.
