Serious Screen Flickering in Some Games with sli GTX 660

Hi all, I just purchased a second GTX 660 2gb gpu so I could run an sli setup. I enabled sli, made sure my drivers were up to date and ran the sleeping dogs benchmark to see how it would work at 1440p at ultra settings. I got avg of 60fps! I wanted to try Tomb Raider next and the screen flickered so bad, I could barely see anything. I tried turning down the settings, reinstalling drivers, changing profiles with Nvidia Inspector etc and it still doesn't work. Same thing for a bunch of other games. Anyone have any idea whats going on?
Thanks!

Solution
Some games don't work well in sli.

I had this issue with Tomb Raider and BF4 and I have 2 x GTX 660.

That was a known problem with tomb raider and the nvidia drivers in sli

I can't remember if it got fixed or not.

Two things you can try:
1. Turn of tessalation in the settings
2. Set Physx to single GPU in the Nvidia control panel settings (this fixed it for me in tomb raider and BF4)

I just got my second one too, Can play BF4 1440p Ultra settings at 40+ fps to my surprise, pretty much on par with a 780. One game I had similar issues with is Far Cry 3, it actually runs better with one card sadly.

For whatever reason, I reinstalled the drivers a second time and now everything works great. Not sure what happened but I'll take it. I've found that as long as I turn off AA, I can run just about every game at high/ultra without any issues (including Far Cry 3!)

I'd love to know what the difference between this and a 780ti is..

a 780ti will be better, but not by a lot

I'm really happy with the performance I get from 2 x GTX 660's

I only have issues with games that don't like sli (eg, world of tanks)

Gonna keep a hold of my 660's until the 8xx series comes out either later this year or early 2015... if they don't get delayed any further lol

Im having this problem too, it happens even on my desktop and basically every game I play, it happens randomly but also nearly every time I alt tab, it also causes a buzz is my headphones, are the things mentioned above the only solutions to this? just wanted to see if there are any more or different solutions since this thread is quite old. thanks.

Ps, i have 2 660 ti's, but i've been running only 1 for the past 8 months.

Try completely uninstalling the drivers and then reinstall. I think the humming is a motherboard or having power to close to your audio issue.

Okay, I'll try that, I also read up that it could be a faulty sli bridge, so that could also get replaced aswell with a backup one I have. I don't think it was really a hum, my case is quite big, the psu is quite a way away from my motherboard.

Def try a new bridge if the driver doesn't work. I had the hum too but I bought sennheiser 363d headphones which came with a USB sound card.. No hum with that.
