Hi again guys, i had posted a previous problem which turned out to be GPU caused.
Anyways, i dusted off my old 7300GS and am using that with my computer right now; as it turns out when i put in my faulty gpu (gtx 470 which has error 43), it is "working properly" the device manager says.

So, i tried to use it as main again but i get error 43 again when i use it and have it connected to display.

My question is; is there a way that i can have my 7300GS connected to/showing the display but, have the GTX 470 processing the game/s? (i dont mean SLI)

The GTX 470 is broken, it will not process anything for you then. Even if it wasn't connected to a display it would probably still fail.

I know a 7300GS probably doesn't run any games from the past 3 years at all, i would suggest that you find a new gpu. I would suggest the AMD R9 270, since it should run on the same psu as the GTX 470 and it's a great price/performance card that reaches high settings on 1080p in the newest games. Want something cheaper, then the GTX 750 (non-ti) or the R7 260. ;)
