I want to run dual monitors and have an old one with a vga output and a new one with a DVI output.

My gfx card (GTX 760) only has a dvi plug, is there a connector which would allow me to hook up both these monitors despite their outputs not matching?

Solution
The DVI->VGA adapter works fine.

You just require a DVI-I connector (not DVI-D) on the card, and the passive adapter to attach to the analog pins.

Here's what DVI-I looks like: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_Visual_Interface#Connector

Most computer shops should have the adapter, or it's $5 or so online.

*You said "only has a dvi plug" so I wasn't sure if you has TWO of them (I assume so). If so, often one is DVI-I and the other is DVI-D. The adapter goes on DVI-I and you use the DVI-D for the DVI monitor.

There are adapters which separate the DVI-A and DVI-D signals from a DVI-I signal source, but this method is not supported by the DVI standard and it is not guaranteed to work, much less guaranteed to produce separate display signals.
