XP OS I wanted to turn off programs from starting when I logged on, so used the F8 key. Held it too long and turned off the keyboard and mouse. Can I get them back? Have tried BIOs and reinstalled defaults but this does not work.

Edit: I realise I am in the wrong forum - it is a PC I am having trouble with. Thanks.

Thank you for replying - I have a Toshiba laptop - Window 7 - used for just travelling. Prefer a PC which is why I just want to get back to the XP if I can . Think the problem was a Uniblue software or possible my actually Kaspersky Lab software which is why I wanted to turn them off. I had been having the computer just turning off and restored to an earlier date but this did not fix it.

Not sure about the laptop description but this is the information I have found.
