Hi

Watch dog is coming out in a few weeks and the raccomended amount of ram is 8gb. At the moment I have 4gb samsung ram at 1333mhz .im considering 8 or 16 gb of ram . I know that 8 is plenty but I'm not sure if this will be the case in 3 years time . I would like a good ram for gaming, I don't overclock so hopefully I won't need anything super expensive .budget for 8gb is 65 pound and 100 pound for 16.if I go with 8 I might be able to get a ssd even though im perfectly fine with my WD black hdd

Pc configuration
Intel 2600
Sabertooth z79 (I think)
nvidia 780
Fsp 600w power supply

thanks

don't do this ^ its not good to mix different sizes, yes it can be done but it can also cause problems. Also your 2gb stick is 1333mhz so it will slow down any new ram that you get to 1333mhz, doing matched pairs is always a good idea anyways. I would just get a nice 2x4gb set. By the time you will need more then 8gb for gaming you will be upgrading your computer anyways or the set you have now will not be made anymore so will result in just getting a new set of 2x8gb or 4x4gb set.

Get a single 8gb ram stick as it will be plenty for gaming for quite a few years, later if you want more you can get another 8gb ram to make 16gb. 16gb ram for gaming now is overkill and not worth the extra.
