I built my own pc, it has a i3 4330 3.5ghz with the nvidia gtx 770 2gb, will this run games on ultra settings or at least on high with good fps, or should I purchase the i5 4670k, how much of a difference would it make ?

More about : good pairing bottleneck bound

More and more games are coming out that are optimized for more than dual-core. Some of the reason is the new consoles focus on multicore. There are a few games out right now that will definitely push a dual core beyond it's limits bottlenecking your 770GTX. Crysis 3, BF4 (64 player servers), RTS's like Star Craft. I expect this years crop of games to be really multicore focused.

So I would definitely consider getting a i5 4670K.

What motherboard and PSU do you have?

I've got the Gigabyte H81M-DS2, and the PSU is Corsair CX750M 80+ 750W, are these good choices ? if not, where I can improve, RAM is 8GB, hard drive 1TB.

Ok well first off, with that motherboard you can't overclock. Therefore I would suggest getting the i5 4670 non K version. The K version is more money and you won't benefit from it on that motherboard. Even if the H81 chipset allowed overclocking, it would be inadvisable to anyway since there aren't any heatsinks on the VRM's.

Your PSU is fine, plenty of power.

If you are looking to improve your system performance (not just in games), consider getting a SSD in the 240GB or greater range. It won't improve gaming, but if you put your OS on it, it will boot much faster and be more responsive in general. Then put all your user files, games, and applications on the HDD.

No problem. If you don't mind update us with your results when you get your parts.
