Im buying a new GPU, just not sure which
System specs :
i3-3210
1tb hdd wd
GB P75-D3 MB
Hd Radeon 5550 1gb 128bit
Power supply not sure, but nothing specail, its a low end one.

Gpu (s) in mind
Hd radeon
5830
6790
7850
8860
R7-265
7950
8950
R9-280
R9-290

I'd like to know which is gpu will give me max performance out of my computer. (Also buying a 550watt power supply)

Solution
for the price a R9 270,that can be found for around $190 and offer great performance, if that is too much, then get a 7770, offering great performance and value, and is GDDR5

Both cards won't bottleneck and will work with a 550W PSU, Both are pretty good graphics cards for gaming.

Solution
R9-290 is obviously the fastest, but you'll need a GOOD 650W for it.
Which power supply are you looking at?
Also, considering your processor, the 7950 would be best, anything faster would be bottlenecked.
Another thing is, there's something weird in your build. If you can afford a 290, the rest of the build seems pretty mediocre by comparison.
You'll want to upgrade to a i5 3470/3570 if you get the 290.

A good quality 500W will run it, you could also do 600W, but that's not necessary. Just make sure to get a good brand. Watts isn't all that matters. Stay away from brands like Diablotek, stick with quality ones like Corsair, Antec, and Seasonic.

I guess it depends on which one exactly. I've never used them for a power supply, they are more known for their gpu's and motherboards, if it was me I would still try to get a Corsair, Antec, or especially Seasonic. Compare prices too.
