What's up guys, I'm new here and in desperate need of help!
I've looked all around the forum and haven't had any luck finding the information I need so I figured I'd ask for myself.

I've recently built a new PC (and it is awesome!). I have a nice 1TB HDD in it but I need to add an extra one so I can record gameplay footage. Now here comes the confusing part (for me anyway)!
My old pc has a decent HDD that has worked perfectly for the 4 years I've had it and I was wondering if it was possible to wipe it clean and put it into my new system as a second drive solely to store my footage.

If it is possible to do, and I'd assume it would be, would you guys mind kindly explaining how I can do so? Please bare in mind that while I am somewhat familiar with computers, I'm no genius, so please keep it as simple as possible!

My strongest thanks,

Nathan.

While both PCs are turned off, unscrew + unplug the old drive, then screw it in and plug it in to the new PC (you may need to use the old SATA cable). Put it on a higher-numbered SATA port than your main drive so it won't try to boot off it.

Then boot up the new PC, go to my computer, and format the drive that's new.
