My computer stopped recognizing my second internal hdd. It was working before but now it does not even show in disk management. Under manage storage spaces in the control panel it says "the following drives contain an unrecognized configuration and can't be used with Storage Spaces. Reset the drives to make them usable. If the drives continue to be unrecognized, you might need to replace them."

It was working fine before but it suddenly stopped working. Please help.

Well tried it on another computer and it didn't read it either. Does this mean it's dead?

RMA it if you can. If not, well then yeah try get an expert to look at it or try yourself - there are plenty of guides to fix various problems that would make your HDD not be discovered. The problem is pin-pointing the problem.
