Hello,

I recently upgraded from my GTX 580 to a GTX 780 Ti, but I have no performance increase, I sometimes even have a performance decrease. I've completely reinstalled all NVIDIA drivers but that didn't do anything.

My components:
CPU: Intel i7-2600
Motherboard: ASUS P8H67
RAM: 8 GB Corsair XMS3 (2 x 4.0 GB)
GPU: Gigabyte Windforce GTX 780 Ti OC
PSU: Corsair TX750W

I changed out the video card by myself (I also got a new case and transferred everything to there) so is there any possibility I damaged a part? and if so how can I find out?

For Example:
In CS:GO I used to get around 125 FPS dropping frequently below 120 with my GTX 580
With the GTX 780 I Yesterday morning also got around 125 FPS and later that day I got around 180 FPS (Still not what I expected from the 780)
And Today I got around 100 FPS, I just checked again and I got a pretty stable 120 FPS

Solution

So after playing Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag for around 15 minutes, getting around 25-50 FPS depending on where in the game I am and what I'm doing. I had a constant core speed of 3511.71 MHz and a pitch core temperature of 57°C

My monitor's refresh rate is 120 Hz (just...

Can you post some results with a more intensive game? It sounds like your CPU is throttling your GPU. What are your CPU temps and clockspeeds while gaming?

Also I'd have to say that if you're getting above your panels refresh rate I'd turn on vsync and have it cap at 60fps (or whatever the refresh rate on your panel is). Its a much smoother experience and I find that I play better. A-also if you want you can add me on steam and play with me later :)

My monitor's refresh rate is 120 Hz (just bought a new one) so I'd like to use those 120 Hz :) It really is a difference switching from 60 Hz to 120 Hz :wahoo: (I can only recommend it)
