I am getting a 1TB drive to speed things up a bit basiclaly as iTunes takes a lot of space but mostly Steam. I am nto sure how to get the data from my current drive to my new one. Could I be better off just having both installed at once? HELP!

It does not matter that much which you do. Either add the new one in as a data drive, or clone the original to it.

I'd add the new drive for data storage. You can actually change your My Documents location directly to this new drive once it's formatted and assigned a drive letter and Windows will move all the files over for you. You should also move the iTunes data over to the drive, the iTunes options would have guidance on how to do that. Steam is installed games so you should keep that on the drive with your installed programs.

Don't forget to keep a backup of your files as well.

I always recommend backing up at least the important files before you do anything just in case something goes horribly wrong.

Yeah, back up everything important and use a cloning tool to finish everything.

Ok well I have this problem firstly because I tried moving my iTunes onto an external drive, went wrong, had to put all music back in with CD's. So then I have loads of copies of these files around my pc so now have a scarce amount of room left. I also do not have a full version of Windows as when I built my PC online I selected "No OS" but it arrived with windows installed. It says it is a trial version but it is still going however I don't think I could re validate this version. I think I may just install it as a second drive as to avoid the seemingly tedious procedure of cloning.
