my Dell laptop hibernated while I was using it and even when I plugged it in, it couldn't boot it just shows the logo and blacks out and repeats the whole process again. How do I fix it?

What were you doing at the time the laptop went into hibernation, gaming, web stuff? what surface was the laptop on and did you hear any abnormal fan noises from it?
I might suspect offhand it may have overheated, it may be a hard drive fault, graphics card fault or possibly (although less likely) something else
I think I'll suggest trying a hard drive diagnostics tool like SeaTools for DOS http://www.seagate.com/support/downloads/item/seatools-dos-master/ and checking the hard drive's health.

It does not sound like it "hibernated" but probably just shut down on you. Or did you run it out of power on battery and it went to hibernate?

Press and hold the Fn key and then press the power key or power on the system and keep tapping F12 key to go in diagnostics check for hard drive failure.
