FM2+ socket board, not happy with APU performance, will a R7 gfx be ok on this board?

Not happy with my APU performance, got fast RAM and such, so my question is if i want to just throw in a R7 radeon card on this MSI a78 board with a A10 6800k APU, will everything be fine, anything i need to know?

I know it wont crossfire, ill just use the GPU and heck its still a quad core 4.1 ghz.

yes. If its higher than an R7 250 (like teh 250X or 260/260X), it will disable the on-board graphics, but otherwise, the 6800K will work with anything
