HD drive booting and how to solve windows loading issue.

The hard drive on the HP desktop PC will not boot into windows or freeze up while trying to load up, other times I will turn on the computer and it will just sit there, no activity light for the HD.

I have removed the hard drive and tried it on another computer. The hard drive is accessible, but I am wondering if I need to replace the hard drive or I can somehow save the hard drive and get windows working properly again?

Tried to boot the HP computer without the HDD, no display on the monitor. Thought I might try putting the HDD in an older computer that works see if it boots.

*Windows will boot into recovery then freeze while trying to complete recovery mode, system restore point non working as well. Is this looking like a HDD problem?
