All of a sudden, when I try and open web pages in IE11 all it will do is offer to save them as downloads. It will not open pages. Im not sure why. I have made no alterations to my settings. I have tried various things to resolve this with no result. any suggestions? Its probably totally easy but I cant see the wood fro the trees to cure it!

Go to internet options => advanced => reset. This will restore IE back to factory settings. Hope this helps.
