Hey, I just ran Intel burn test and stopped on third test when my CPU hit 60c. So is them temps ok for everyday use. Mostly heavy gaming and web browsing until I get better SP fans.

CPU- 3930k @ stock
Cooling- h100i with a custom fan controller, fans set to 1000rpm

Solution

There is absolutely no point in increasing your fan speeds as you're temps are very low and you'll start to hear the fans if you go louder.

Anything under 90 degrees is OK, or even higher only during stress tests. These CPU's can last many years even obove 70 degrees. Also, 1000 RPM with the h100i allows for a heck of a lot of cooling. If you get past 1400 rpms, the fans start to make a lot of noise cause they push a heck of a lot of air through that radiator. The max is 2500 rpm and you could freeze the CPU at that speed.
That cooler is meant for overclocking. Mine runs at 1300 rpm max and i'm pushing to 4.6 GHz on my CPU witl less than 80 degree temps.

If you purchase the h100i recently, return it and go for the Noctua DH-U14S. Its uber quiet and very reliable (5 Yr Waranty) and it will keep you chip much cooler than the h100i, with minimal noise. Make certain you have room in your case as well.

I just see no sense in purchasing the h100i which then you will have to upgrade the fans to make it quiet, when the Noctua, solves your problems in one blow (cost and heat).

Best Luck

The h100i fans are high performance static pressure fans - they push more air at 1000 rpm than any other fan out there and are meant for radiators. Hence why they don't need to spin faster, and they're quiet at 1000 rpm

Thanks for the information it's good to know I have a lot of room for overclocking :)
