Please please help me! No internet

Hi

I am using a TP link. I use to get 50Mbps with it but it went down to 5Mbps... I re-installed windows (thought it was driver related) and now cannot connect to the internet, I have installed drivers and it just says no internet access

It also states I have not got an IP

Can you run 'ipconfig /all' in command prompt and post back with what it outputs.

I manage to get it back by keep on switching Ethernet cables :/

My main problem now is I am only getting 5Mbps when I use to get 50Mbps without fail... Any ideas?

I read you updated the drivers, just checking though, you did update the latest network drivers from your motherboards product page right?

Something to try if you haven't already is power cycle your modem/router

Yes many times and tried un-installing them again and re-installing them.. I don't know what it could be and it is really bugging me

Everyone else is getting 50Mbps but me and I even re-installed windows to try reset it. What is power cycle?

It basically means to turn your router off and unplug it from the wall power for 10 - 30 seconds. Then plug back in and wait for internet connection to re-establish.

I've had times where my internet is running poor, and I power cycle did wonders for my connection. Wouldn't work for everyone of course but it's worth a shot.
