Hello guys,

I figured I should use (1 x 8GB) in case I ever need more RAM.

Crucial Ballistix Sport (1 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600

instead of
G.SKILL Ripjaws 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600

It's the same price too, just want to make sure it makes sense.

Thanks,
Frank

What you could do is keep the 2x4GB and just add the other ram on slots A2 and B2. That way, all of your Ram slots will befilled and look good from the outside

2x4GB allows for dual channel, which can be up to a 10-15% performance increase, though if *GB is all that fits in the budget and you only have 2 slots then the single stick can make a bit of sense, not knowing mobo hurts in trying to help - so make sure it can take 8GB sticks

Yep, as mentioned w/ only 2 slots then the 8GB is the better choice
