and had planned to buy a gtx 760 come my birthday (on the 8th, in a week). However, in the meantime, I planned to play [strike]one of my favorite games[/strike] my favorite game on console on my new PC. I know Skyrim is a pretty old game, so I thought I would get decent frame rates on low (1366x768) on a 720p monitor. Apparently not. I'm getting 18-35 max fps and I don't know why. Also, I'm thinking about the graphics card. Which do you recommend for my build? I don't want to give a budget because I want to get a variety of answers but no more than high 200's

EDIT: Before everyone starts bitching about how bad Intel graphics suck (I already understand they do), I just wanted to leave a benchmark for Skyrim at 1366x768 on MEDIUM settings on a 1080p monitor:

Hey,

you are getting low frame rate because of your integrated GPU. It isn't really intended for gaming.

The GTX 670 you had planned to buy is a good choice but what monitor are you going to play on? Is it the 1366x768 you referred to?

If you are playing on a 1920x1080 and you feel like spending a bit more you could get a AMD R9 280x which would give you a better performance than the GTX 670. The R9 280x is head to head with GTX 770 but cheaper. You could get one for about $300.

I understand your frustration but with this attitude look for help elsewhere. You do realize that maybe someone was in the middle of writing something when you updated your original post so he/she couldn't see your update, right?

Nice.. the absolute cheapest I could find was the MSI one for $299.99. You still kept the borderline budget :D any other graphics cards you recommend?
