Since may 1st 2014 at 3:50pm my lg flattron monitor, dvi/vga was working fine till 4pm hit than my display on monitor quit, I tried switching the cable both way to see if that would fix it but still I get nothing but auto power saving mode, since it stopped working my keyboard won't respond to my pc, speakers won't work is their any info that might help cause since I can't afford that much I can't buy a whole new pc or monitor so if anyone has any ideas I'd be forever greatful for the help thx in advance.

It sounds like the issue is your computer is dead not the monitor. Check the computer with a working monitor, you will probably see it does not give you a display either.

Most of the time you will need to replace the power supply, motherboard or video card to fix thing. First try to reset the BIOS, unplug the system from power, remove the CMOS battery from the motherboard for about 10 seconds, try to start it again.

Can be tough to tell where the issue is exactly. Examine the motherboard, if any capacitors are puffy or leaking stuff, you need a new motherboard (get the exact same model so you don't need to re-install Windows). If the computer is dead, your files are probably still fine on the hard drive, you can get a decent dual-core used system for $100 or less, plug in your old drive in it as a secondary drive, copy your files over to your new document location on the new system drive.
