Hello all,

I will start by saying that I purchased a copy of mountain lion from the apple website. I love the thought of dual booting my gaming computer which is running win 8.1 pro at the moment. My concern is how will this process effect my computer when running windows? I read over the starting guide on tonymacx86.com and I basically understand what I have to do to create my hackintosh (CustoMac), I just need some info before I go doing anything that could potentially damage my computer. Also, would I need to have a mac keyboard, or would my Razer Blackwidow suffice?

Here is my build:

i5-4670k - overclocked to 4.0 GHz
Asus Maximus VI Formula Z87 Socket 1150
Asus GTX 780 DCUIIOC
G.Skill Ripjaws X 1866Mhz 16 GB (4x4, dual channel RAM)
Samsung 840 EVO 120 GB SSD
WD Black 1 TB HDD

*WD Blue/Black 500GB* - this HDD I would purchase to install Mac OS X on and have it boot from that drive. (so that it doesn't effect my SSD or HDD that I am using for Windows?)

If this setup is not favorable to install Mac OS X on then I'll have to wait to save up some money to get a budget machine to run the Mac OS.

Thank you in advance for your replies!
