So, after finishing the process of construction I come to the first start up, and nothing happens. I checked the cables powering the motherboard and still nothing. The motherboard LED lights are on, as are the video card lights so the power supply is functioning right? All front panel connectors are properly in place as well. What is confusing me is that I ran an initial start up before I installed everything to check and it ran fine, so my guess is that I possibly damaged a part, or that the standoffs in my case are affecting it. I have a corsair 200r, and I believe it has extra standoffs for my asus p8z77-v lk motherboard. they are permanently fixed into the case, but I may have been wrong to go ahead with my installation anyways. Any tips and suggestions as to what I should do?

The 8 pin cable is plugged in, and the fan is plugged into the cpu header. My monitor is attached properly so those are all a-okay. What do you think the likelihood is that I damaged the mobo in the process of installing it? I didn't consider the static buildup today when I was working on it. As for the standoffs, there are multiple standoffs beneath the motherboard that cannot be used with my motherboard. Those aren't an issue?
