Gateway Checksum error

I am getting a checksum error after installing a RAM. Pulled the RAM out and still getting the error, usually comes after running for 2+ hours What could it be, bad memory damaging the slot?

Is the error from the ram or hdd? Is there an error message and code that goes with it. Does it create a dump file in your root directory? What does the dump file say?
