PC Specs:
GTX 660ti
i&-4770k
Windows 8.1 Pro

I know the HDMI cable works because the TV does show up, but as a "Digital Media Device"

I tried everything, from using different HDMI ports, currently they are both in HDMI-In, to updating the drivers, to checking source feed on the TV. Nothing seems to get any closer.

then what TV is it?

That looks like it's only detecting your TV as an audio output but not a video one.

1) Motherboard Main chipset driver installed?

2) latest NVidia driver?

3) Setup in the NVidia Control Panel in the HDTV section?
a) 1080p_NTSC_60p, then
b) adjust overscan

I got the same problem too. Check ur smart tv's user guide. When i checked my tv's user guide, it was clearly stated that computers and laptops must be connected to HDMI port 2 to use it as monitor. So i connected my pc to HDMI 2 and rebooted it and now im using my tv as monitor. I heard that some televisions never support pcs. I dont know if thats true or not.
